Colorado School District

In spring of 2019, hail devastated a Colorado school district causing extensive damage to multiple school campuses and a military base. Impairments extended across 18 total structures including educational buildings, a sporting complex, administrative and transportation buildings and athletic fields. 1.2M square feet of roof was replaced, extensive exterior lighting and security systems installed and implementation of upgrades to acrylic skylights installed across all campuses, including windows. Mooring teamed up with the insurance company and school district to quickly begin the restoration process which included the prequalification and management of more than 53 vendors and oversight of more than 200 employees that were cleared and badged for the job. The hail storm caused over $30MM in damages, and Mooring managed all teams required to restore and rebuild the damage incurred.
