WHEN IT’S OUT OF YOUR HANDS – PUT IT IN OURS.

EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR CATASTROPHE AND LARGE LOSS

While it can be argued that all losses are “large” – some are so big they are totally devastating. Through our many years of experience, we’ve seen it all from aviation disasters to tsunamis to bombings and one thing is certain – disasters don’t discriminate. They can and do happen anywhere and take on many forms.

Our team of first responders and recovery technicians has significant experience dealing with natural disasters and other large loss catastrophes. Mooring Disaster Restoration employs a cadre of full-time, 24/7 on-call Catastrophe Project Managers (CAT PM’s). In the event of a large loss, these individuals are among the very first to deploy. CAT PM’s assess the loss, and determine staffing, material, and resource needs. They are responsible for the turn-key logistics that pertain to the response, recovery and reconstruction required to return a property to a pre-loss condition. These solutions may include in-house resources, vendor partners in our network, temporary labor, emergency power, fuel distribution, owned equipment, rental equipment, etc. – whatever it takes to make it happen.

Our national first responder network positions us to immediately respond and conduct initial assessments for isolated disasters and catastrophic weather events. Bottom line, Mooring Disaster Restoration is ready to deploy and assist in any disaster situation from major hurricanes, tornados, to regional or localized floods and fires.

We’ve done it all, and it’s what we do best.

FEATURED PROJECT: Property Management

Hurricane Ian

Mooring’s National Disaster Recovery Teams were deployed to assist businesses with pre-storm preparations, recovery, and reconstruction efforts when Hurricane Ian struck the United States.

Emergency Services Approach

In catastrophic emergencies – experience matters most.

Over our three generations in the Disaster Restoration business, we’ve seen our fair share of catastrophes and helped thousands of businesses restore millions of dollars of losses. Our approach is comprehensive, tried and true. Learn more about it below and how Mooring can help you recover from any disaster.

Emergency Management Incident Command Centers

Mooring deploys Incident Command Centers that serve as the backbone to enable teams to mobilize and respond quickly and effectively during Natural Disaster events. The Incident Command Center operates using a system that combines facilities, equipment, personnel, procedures, and communications within a common organizational structure, designed to aid in the management of resources during incidents.

Post Storm Damage Assessments

Damage assessments are critical to the success of response and recovery during Natural Disaster weather events. Mooring works to save you time and money by minimizing damage, beginning restoration faster and making more informed decisions using our post-storm damage assessments. Our assessments offer a comprehensive view of your loss and utilize state-of-the-art technology, including drones, 360° cameras, and infrared moisture mapping to deliver the most comprehensive post-storm assessment that supports the recovery process.

Standby Emergency Power Generation

Mooring provides temporary emergency power during area-wide community disasters. This enables us to support important electrical systems on loss of normal power supply. A standby power system may include a standby generator or batteries. Emergency generators serve as a secondary source of mechanical or electrical power whenever the primary energy supply is disrupted or discontinued during power outages or natural disasters that are beyond the control of the owner or operator of a facility.

Emergency Water Extraction

When water damage happens – the first step on the road to recovery is to remove it. Two approaches Mooring Disaster Restoration employs for Water Damage extraction and mitigation include:

High-Velocity Water Pumps (aka V-pumps) – A submersible water pump, capable of moving unwanted water, mud, and other liquids at a rate of up to 4500Lt/hr. with optimal water pressure. The V-pump requires no electricity and serves as an extremely powerful pump where power supply may be limited or not readily available.

Drying Technology – A desiccant dryer or an adsorption dryer is a piece of industrial equipment that uses desiccant materials to eliminate water from the air channeled through it. Mooring’s extensive line of the latest in drying equipment delivers a combined capability of 105,000 cfm and operates alongside commercially capable Dehumidifiers, Air Scrubbers and Hydroxyl Generators to name a few.

Emergency Board Up Services & Tarping

Whether it’s from a storm, vehicle impact, or vandalism; Mooring Disaster Restoration’s 24-hour emergency responders will be on-site fast to start the emergency recovery process for a commercial property with door, roof, window, exterior wall, or storefront damage. Mooring experts will quickly secure the property, clean up debris, and construct temporary walls or entrances, perform window boarding services or emergency roof repairs and tarping to protect and secure the property with little to no impact to business operations.

Document Recovery

All is not lost in a loss.

Mooring has set protocols for the recovery of damaged documents. Immediately, we want to create a state of preservation by boxing and freezing the affected materials on-location. Depending on the quantity of items, they are recovered on-site or transported to a secure facility for restoration. Services also include reproduction, copying, scanning, sanitizing, deodorizing, encapsulating and if needed, certified destruction.

When dealing with document recovery Mooring has been very successful in saving those documents that are considered valuable and restorable including vital records, personal files, medical records, files, books, and other media.

When documents become damp, wet, or are in contact with corrosive soot by-products, they can deteriorate quickly. Some of the methods used in document recovery include Air Drying, Desiccant Air Drying, Vacuum Thermal Drying, Freeze Drying, and Vacuum-Freeze Drying.
